I’ve lived here all my life and not once did I venture out on a sleigh ride on the National Elk Refuge. I always thought it was nothing more than another tourist attraction.
But, I would gladly go again.
There are many things I don’t know about my home – And, that’s exactly what’s so exciting about this place! You can live here for years and still try new activities or discover new facts.
Did you know that an estimated 8,000 Elk will be on the National Elk Refuge this year? Anything over 5,000 requires the US Fish and Wildlife Service to supply food otherwise we end up with plenty of dead elk ?.
