Many of us here are transplants. My team is comprised of only transplants. My developer, albeit being here 20 years and whose family came on the May Flower, is considered one. My other two mentors also carrying a similar backstory.
But you know what’s great? Because we all took the great leap to leave friends and families behind for a new adventure, we gather together to form strong family-like bonds.
I consider myself to have many families out here. A couple of soccer teams, basketball teams, work, and, of course, the family I started with my wife.
We laugh, we work, we play, we disagree and we forgive. We all look out for one another and put the group ahead of individual motives.
